REEF SHARKS
The Blacktip reef shark of course gets it name after its un-mistakable black tips on its dorsal and caudal fins. The Blacktip is one of the shortest memebers of the shark family and can be idenitfies by not only its distinctive black fins, but also ts round snout and angled, saw-like teeth.
Its white belly and dark back allow it to camouflage with the dim seafloor and the brighter ocean surface acting almost like the preditorial kameleon of the ocean.
Blacktip Reef sharks swim in shallow waters just a few meters deep near reefs and drop-off zones and have also occasionally been sighted in freshwater.
These sharks, unlike most of its preditorial cousins, swim in schools. Working together as teams to hunt and catch out its prey.

Blacktip's are commonly found along the coastlines of Pacific regions, such as Thailand, Japan, Philippines, New Caledonia and northern Australia. However, they can sometimes be found within the Indian Ocean from South Africa to the Red Sea during current changes between the north american and pacific plate shift.
Howver, these guys are currently classed as endangered as their killed for their fins or during the culling raids within Australia, where their killed off and their bodies are dumped back into ocean for 'Fun' and to 'protect' surfers. This has lead to thousands of these magnificent creatures to be hidden away in captivity and bread within concreate walls until its safe to realse them back within the oceans. But why are these sharks being killed off? well, back in 2011 a culling demand occured in Australia as sharks began to increase around the country, however after three deaths on a southern beach the media exploaded, listing any species, whcih identified as a shark, to be a threat to society. Due to this explosion over new braodcasts, magazines ad social media posts, the goverment enforced that any shark located by any beach could be killed on sight. of couse, as laws like these do, it became uncontolable and people began to head out 'Hunting' these precious creatures.
